We will draft your Power of Attorney according to your requirements and schedule an appointment with a notary for its signing (Online notarization with a licensed Private Notary is also available for added convenience).

Most common reasons to give someone a power of attorney

Convenience

By giving us a Power of Attorney you trust us to help you with your affairs. This could include signing documents, submitting documents, or managing specific aspects of your company on your behalf.

Incapacity

If you become incapacitated, a power of attorney can allow us to make decisions on your behalf. This could include helping you sell properties, make amendments to your company, or handle other administrative matters.

Travel

If you are going to be traveling for an extended period of time, a power of attorney can us to handle your affairs while you are away. This could include managing specific aspects of your company on your behalf, and signing of documents.

What is a Power of Attorney?

When you give someone a power of attorney, you are essentially giving them the legal authority to act on your behalf. It is important to choose someone you trust implicitly, and to make sure that the power of attorney is properly drafted. A POA is fully customizable and can be revoked by the principal at any given time.

There are two main types of Power of Attorney

General Power of Attorney

A general Power of Attorney is broad in nature, but the specific powers granted to the attorney will be specified in the document.

Specific Power of Attorney

A specific Power of Attorney is designed to be used once for a specific project. It cannot be used for anything else. For example the purchase or sale of one specific property/vehicle.
